Stimulus Sewer Work to Bring Jobs to Rhode Island

“Maintaining and improving Rhode Island’s water and wastewater infrastructure is vital to economic development and the public health,” he said in a statement. “During these tough economic times, it makes good sense to fund projects like this that help our environment and put people to work.”
Whitehouse was part of a group of 24 senators who recently wrote to President Barack Obama to urge that any new jobs bill focus in part on infrastructure investment.
