This position will assist in the administration of collective bargaining agreements and participate in the development of the company’s employment and labor relations strategies. This position is also responsible for maintaining pro-active employee / labor relations and monitoring and compliance with all applicable Federal and State employment and labor laws. Researches and develops reports on analysis / trends, etc. pertaining to labor relations issues and employee relations matters, activities and functions. Assists in grievance and arbitration preparation. Implements or assists in the implementation of negotiated labor agreements. Consults and provides advice to managers and supervisors in the interpretation of the CBA, disciplinary actions, and the handling of grievances to ensure consistent and uniform application. Develops and maintains communications with Union representatives and outside Labor Counsel. Works with HR Training Facilitator in the development and implementation of training programs on labor topics for managers and supervisors. Accountable for keeping accurate records and documents pertaining to grievances, discipline procedures, terminations, and related actions. Works with the negotiating team to develop and design labor relations negotiating strategies and substantive proposals for collective bargaining. Participates in all phases of collective bargaining as a member of the NBC negotiating team. Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
