Duties/Responsibilities

Responsible for the overall maintenance, support, and troubleshooting of the personal computer (PC) environment, including 1st level support of productivity software.  Will also provide 1st level support for NBC’s telephone communications and Server environment.  Perform first level support and maintenance of PC software: Operating System, MS Exchange, MS Office, Internet Explorer and other universally available products.  Perform first level support and maintenance of PC hardware in accordance with IT guidelines and/or vendor maintenance agreements: replacement of hard drives, network cards, communication devices and other PC architecture.  Manages personal computer leases and rollouts to end users.  Administers help desk system, including assigning requests, ensuring proper configuration, updating of user data, and adherence to IT help desk policies for requests and change orders.  Provide backup support for NBC’s telephone systems, including voicemail and the primary and secondary Servers.

Performs other duties as assigned, within skill and experience capabilities.

 

Education-Experience

EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in computer science or such as may have been gained through experience supplemented by technical training in information technology by accredited Educational institutions, or any combination of education and experience that shall be substantially equivalent to the above education and experience. EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3 years experience in a Microsoft Windows environment encompassing all communication protocols therein; or any combination of education and experience that shall be substantially equivalent to the above education and experience. Physical Demands: Ability to lift and move computer related equipment generally weighing approximately 50 pounds.
