Duties/Responsibilities

Responsible for providing a variety of clerical support duties in the maintenance of wastewater discharge permits and accounts and related enforcement activities. Perform basic office duties, such as copying, filing, faxing, typing standard documents, preparing, sorting, and distributing mail and entering data. Prepares and processes a variety of documents regarding permits, customer accounts, informational memos, and other information. Provides basic customer service to customers, which includes answering and routing phone calls, providing account and permit information, and answering general questions. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

 

Education-Experience

Education: High School Diploma, or G.E.D., and two years of general clerical experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such s those listed above. Knowledge (position requirements at entry): Basic office principles; basic accounting principles; providing basic customer service. Skills (position requirements at entry): Typing and preparing documents; performing basic office duties; operating a computer and applicable software applications; performing basic accounting duties; communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc.
