Duties/Responsibilities

The Customer Care Representative-Fiscal Clerk is responsible for administering customer accounts, providing customer service support and performing back-up Fiscal Clerk functions related to customer payments. Answers general customer questions and concerns regarding account status, billings, payments, and other account information.  Receives, records, and processes a variety of forms, applications, and documents regarding accounts, statements, requests for information, and other account questions.   Prepares forms, documents, and other statements required for account openings and closings.  Calculates adjustments, changes, and bills for customer accounts based on operational procedures.  Performs data entry in the updating and maintaining of customer accounts and statements. Performs back-up Fiscal Clerk functions such as accepting customer payments, balancing deposits, and preparing bank deposits. During periods of heavy payment volume may also assist with the application of customer payments. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

 

 

 

Education-Experience

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE: High school diploma, or G.E.D.; minimum of three years of complex payment processing experience in a fast paced environment. Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Knowledge of:  Payment processing and banking principles; basic accounting principles; basic mathematical principles; basic customer service principles.
