Duties/Responsibilities

The position is responsible for providing technical and administrative support to the Purchasing Section. Under the direction of the Purchasing Coordinator, the position will assist with the administration of the Purchase Card program and maintain NBC’s insurance portfolio including risk management.  The position also supports staff with the procurement of NBC vehicles and assisting with daily administration of NBC purchases.  Assist with NBC’s risk management program.  Annually review the adequacy of NBC insurance coverage and works with NBC’s broker to ensure the timely renewal of policies.  Assists with insurance claims and correspondence.  Assists with review of contracts to ensure adequate insurance.  Update insured asset schedules and coordinate updates with the Purchasing Coordinator.  Ensure prompt payment of insurance policies as directed by the Purchasing Coordinator.  Assist with the daily administration of NBC purchasing processes.  Assist the Purchasing Coordinator in the administration of the Purchase Card program. Provide technical support to the Purchasing section on developing and administering training for the Purchase Card program and purchasing system. Performs other duties as assigned

Education-Experience

administration experience or a related field. A combination of education and experience that is substantially equivalent shall be considered. Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others. Strong organizational skills. Experience working with computerized business systems and personal computer applications including the MS Office Suite is required. Ability to work independently and exercise sound decision making.
