Water Shut-Off/Collections

If you have received a notice that your water service may be terminated due to past due account balances, please contact Customer Care at (401) 461-8828 to make a payment arrangement.

  • If you have received a Water Shut-Off Letter, please call the Customer Care Department at (401) 461-8828 by the due date on your letter.
  • If your property was Posted for Water Shut-Off (notices placed on doors of the property), please call the Customer Care Department at (401) 461-8828 by the due date on your Posting. Failure to call may result in the water service being terminated for the property.
  • If your water has been Shut by the Narragansett Bay Commission for non-payment, payment must be made in full. Payment options include cash or a certified bank check. Payments must be received by 2:00 PM for same day restoration. Payments received after 2:00 PM will be restored on the next business day.

Sometimes special circumstances can qualify you for exemption for water service termination. Please call the Customer Care Department at (401) 461-8828.
